Day 1:
Ubud
Upon arrival in Bali, meet the tour guide and transfer to your hotel in Ubud. Check-in and overnight.
Day 2:
Ubud (Breakfast / Lunch)
At 08.00 am, depart for the province of Tabanan. The first stop is the "Pura Luhur Batukaru", one of the six most important temples of the island. Built-in 13th-century, it is located at the foot of the volcano. On the way to the restaurant, we will pass through Jatiluwih where we can admire the beautiful rice terraces, which is also a UNESCO World Heritage site. After lunch, we will stop at the local market of Candikuning. The last stop of the day Bedugul where we will visit the Pura Ulu Danu temple on Beratan lake. Ulun Danu Temple is located in the plateau area, at 1200m from the sea level. Return to the hotel in the late afternoon. Overnight.
Day 3:
Ubud (Breakfast)
At 8.00 am, depart for the holy forest of Sangeh, populated by several tribes of gentle monkeys that guard the temple from evil spirits. Afterward, we'll reach the Royal Temple Taman Ayun in Mengwi. It was built in 1634 by the King of Mengwi. It is a beautiful temple with a multi-storeyed roof and Balinese architecture. There is a wide amazing landscape garden in the front courtyard to welcome all visitors. We will then move to our next destination, the famous temple of Tanah Lot a magic structure that stands alone on a rock, right in the sea. After the tour, we will return to the hotel. Overnight.
Day 4:
Ubud (Breakfast / Lunch)
At 8.00 am, depart for Batubulan, where we will attend the exciting Barong Dance, the most well-known traditional dance in Bali, that represents the fight between good and evil. We'll then continue first to Tegallalang, one of the most beautiful rice terraces in Bali, then to Sebatu, the Holy water temple. We will then drive toward Kintamani to admire the landscape over the crater of Mount Batur and Lake Batur. We'll have a traditional Balinese lunch in a local restaurant. In the afternoon, we will visit Gunung Kawi, an 11th-century temple and funerary complex. On the way back to the hotel, we will stop at the woodcarving village of Mas and Batuan Village, well known for its painting galleries. After the tour, we will return to the hotel. Overnight.
Day 5:
Ubud (Breakfast / Lunch)
At 8.00 am, depart for the Balinese village of Penglipuran, positioned at 700m above sea level. It is best known for its well-preserved culture and village layout. Besakih, the most important and biggest temple of Bali, will be our next destination. The temple was built in the 11th century at 1000m above sea level on the slopes of Mount Agung, the sacred volcano of Bali. We'll have a traditional Balinese lunch at a local restaurant and, after that, we'll go visit the incredible painted ceilings of the old Klungkung's palace of justice also known as Kertagosa. Our journey will end either at Ngurah Rai International Airport or at the hotel in South Bali.
