Il programma nel dettaglio

The Royal Alcazar of Seville is a combination of Christian and Mudejar architecture.

It was conceived in 914 as a walled citadel. Inside there were some rooms attached to the wall as warehouses or stables. Over the course of 11 centuries it has undergone many changes. The most significant in the 14th century, when King Pedro ordered the demolition of three Almohad palatine buildings to build the Mudejar palace that was attached to the Gothic Alfonsí palace.

The monument has witnessed relevant events for the Spanish Crown. It was the chamber of the Catholic Monarchs and in 1478 Prince Juan was born.

The entrance to the site is through the Lion's Gate in the Plaza del Triunfo.
