Il programma nel dettaglio
Bask in the beauty of the Vila Velha State Park, where 600 million years of erosion, volcanic eruptions and glaciation have carved incredible sculptures, known as aretinhas, from the sandstone.
The park was created in 1953 and was listed as a State Heritage destination in 1966. Here over 20 vast rock shapes rise from the lush vegetation, each one named after the object it resembles. Vila Velha State Park has a set of natural attractions, including rock formations, and sandstones that are millions of years old, which due to wind and rain have acquired curious shapes, such as the Indian, the boot, the camel and the chalice.
The tour continues with a journey to Furnas, deep caves formed by an underground river. Buraco do Padre is one of the most impressive natural monuments in the world: a waterfall about 30 meters high that flows into a rocky amphitheater (Furna) and forms a small lake with a sandy bottom.
