Il programma nel dettaglio
Did you know that Stockholm is divided into neighbourhoods spread across 14 islands? Where the most famous highlights, the Vasa Museum, Stockholm City Hall and Royal Palace, are intertwined with historical architecture, bohemian boutiques, gourmet food halls, posh shopping, unparalleled boulevards, and thriving business districts. Needless to say, Stockholm has it all and on our The Grand Stockholm Private Driving Tour we’ll give you the whole nine yards!
In what is known as the heart of the city, Norrmalm, we find one of Stockholm’s architectural masterpieces, the Stockholm City Hall. We’ll marvel at the Golden and Blue Hall as we discuss topics like the Noble Prize Ceremony, the buildings many great artworks and the work that is done here. A standard questions when visiting the Stockholm City Hall? Is this really just the home of the local government? Yes, it’s true, and we know it may be hard to believe!
Back on the road again, the Royal Opera House and the Parliament zoom past the window. In no time we find ourselves in Gamla Stan, the Old Town, on a walk through the ages. Passing through narrow alleyways, stumble across the German Chruch and the Nobel Museum, suddenly we are standing in front of the Royal Palace. Naturally, we need to have a look inside! Baroque and Rocco, this masterpiece with over 600 rooms (with windows) has been redecorated many times. It’s a treasure trove, not only in terms of items and artefacts but also stories. What the walls of these rooms must have seen! We’ll toss in a few tales about royalty, and before you know it, you’re an expert.
Our final destination is Djurgården. This green haven is filled with many of Stockholm’s museums: ABBA the Museum, the Open Air Museum of Skansen and the Vasa Museum, to name but a few. As the Vasa Museum is an absolute must(!), we skip the line to check out the world’s best-preserved ship from the 1600s. What a way to end the day! We promise that The Grand Stockholm Privat Driving Tour will leave you with a sense of satisfaction. We mean, you’ve practically seen it all!
Please note: Part of this tour takes place in areas where you will have to walk on cobblestones. We suggest wearing comfortable shoes.
Due to His Majesty the Kings’s official functions, The Royal Palace may be partially or fully closed.
