Il programma nel dettaglio
Esztergom, Visegrád and Szentendre: the three most beautiful cities in the Danube Bend. Esztergom used to be the capital of Hungary and is still the centre of the Catholic Church.
The top of the hill, Visegrad, offers a great view to the Danube Valley. Visegrád was always in the center of attention during history due to its favourable amenities and essential strategical role. The earliest traces of a human presence lead us to the New Stone Age, and from the Bronze Age the town and its surroundings have been populated continuously.
During the historical times Celtics, Germans, Romans, Avars and Hungarians were populating the Danube Bend area. Today Visegrád is a popular target of national and international tourism, it is located in one of the most visited recreational areas in the Danube Bend.
Most of our visitors are paying a visit to the Citadel, the Royal Palace and the Solomon Tower, and Szentendre which is a small baroque city built on medieval ruins, located at the gate of the Danube Bend. There are many facilities, including souvenir shops and restaurants, catering to these visitors.
