Il programma nel dettaglio
Come and visit one of the Wild West’s most famous historic frontier towns and experience Tombstone, “The Town too Tough to Die”. Home to outlaws, businessmen, miners and many more colourful characters, Tombstone was a cauldron of activity both legal and illegal, just waiting to bubble up and overspill. Take a step back in time as you visit the old gambling saloons, watering holes, brothels and cemetery of this rough and tumble town. Learn about the famous shootouts and gun battles that took place on the streets of Tombstone during its brief reign as the toughest town in the west.
Explore the fascinating history of Tombstone as you are guided through its historic streets and alleys and learn about larger than life characters such as Wyatt Earp, the most famous lawman in the town. These supposed keepers of the peace were often the worst culprits for the street violence and gun battles that plagued the town and you will be able to stand on the very ground where Wyatt stood during the infamous shootout at the OK Corral.
Visit the original gathering spots for the outlaws and gunmen who would stroll into Tombstone such as Big Nose Kate’s Saloon and the Bird Cage Theatre. The Bird Cage, which had the reputation as “the rowdiest nightspot between Basin Street and the Barbary Coast”, was a saloon, gambling parlor, and theatre show that provided entertainment 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, for 8 years to anyone brave enough to enter. Then take in the old courthouse and Boot Hill Cemetary, named after the men who died and were buried in their cowboy boots. Then head back to phoenix with a stop at The White Dove of The Desert, one of the Southwest's best preserved missions.
