Selvatura Park is a conservation area located in Monteverde with an area of over 850 acres of protected land where a variety of the area's favorite activities are offered in a same place.



As they are: Canopy Tour, Treetop Walkways Suspension Bridges, Insect Exhibition, Butterfly Garden, Reptile and Amphibian Exhibition and lunch.



The tour starts at the main dressing room where our vision-tors will get geared up and will be transported immediately to the instruction platform. At the instruction platform, our all the necessary guidelines for a successful tour completion.



Next our visitors take our bridges systems in the world, few of them are hanging bridges, and fewer are those that are located inside the real cloud forest. Selvatura Park's treetop walkways provide the best way to safely admire the cloud forest canopy.



The treetop walkways tour consists of 1.9 miles of trails in which our visitors will encounter eight bridges of various lengths which range between 170 feet and 560 feet. Each bridge features 5 to 4 feet width and capacity of 80 people per bridge which make the treetop walkways at Selvatura Park not only the longest bridge system in Costa Rica but also the safest and strongest.



A must see for anyone visiting the Monteverde area! The center features biologist Richard Whit-ten's world class educational exhibits "Jewels of the Rain Forest", one of the largest private insect exhibitions anywhere in the world! Dr. Whitten has combined natural history and art in a unique format which inspires visitors to appreciate these wondrous creatures from a holistic perspective, totally different from that usually encountered.



In our Park offers one of the largest butterfly gardens in the Americas, with an area of 300 feet long by 90 feet wide and 50 feet tall, a great dome structure covered by a special photo-thermic 6 Saran helps control the temperature inside the garden . A perfect temperature that enables our garden to host more than 50 different species of butterflies from different altitudes and climates found throughout Costa Rica.



We invite you to come to our Herpetarium, a reptile and amphibian exhibition in which you will be able to see some of the most beautiful live specimens of Iguanas, Snakes, and Frogs among many others from Costa Rica and kept in optimum conditions inside their accli-matized terrariums which simulate the natural habitat of each species.



During the tour, make a stop to take a delicious lunch in our Garden Restaurant.
