In the XVI century Seville became the centre of religiosity. The New World’s Discovery and the town recognition as Port of the Indies implied the establishment of religious orders that assisted clergymen as well as religious believers. Due to this growth of monasteries and convents in the XVI and XVII centuries, nowadays we can enjoy an incomparable religious heritage.

Stroll through the narrow cobbled streets of Santa Cruz to discover a cloistered convent in all its splendor, the artistic heritage contains the legends of this sacred place, the famous people who have been part of its history. To finish with, the visit to the convents of Seville offers the opportunity to discover the gastronomic world of the convents bakery and taste traditional cakes carefully made by the nuns according to the recipes that come from centuries ago. It will be a pleasure to taste and buy as many “heavenly delicacies” as he wishes.

The visit begins with a pleasant walk through the Jewish quarter through its narrow cobbled streets to the Plaza de Ms. Elvira, unparalleled stage for a Don Juan. We continue the visit covered of legends to the Plaza de los Venerables and from there to the Plaza de Santa Cruz from where depart for the Monastery Madre de Dios. After a very interesting tour of this cloistered convent we conclude the visit with a tasting of divine delicacies prepared by the nuns of the monastery.
