Il programma nel dettaglio
Think of Rio de Janeiro and the first image that comes into your mind is the Sugarloaf - one of the most-photographed and famous mountains in the world. It is the city’s star, icon and No.1 attraction all rolled into one. This Sugarloaf and city tour allows you to discover the Sugarloaf and enjoy the stunning panoramic views from it, and then explore the top landmarks itself.
Known as the Pão de Açúcar to locals, it is located in the district of Urca, a jewel to be discovered little by little with its old residences and few commercial establishments. The cable car ride to the top of the mountain is divided into two legs. First you go from the Boarding Station to the Urca Hill (224 metres); and then from the Urca Hill to the top of the Sugar Loaf (395 metres). Once there you can enjoy the most beautiful views of the city of Rio de Janeiro.
The Sugarloaf cable car was the first to be built in Brazil and the third in the world; it receives thousands of visitors throughout the year and has become a symbol of Brazil. The lunch at the restaurant with several Brazilian dishes gives you a wide variety of flavours; expect feijoada, stewed chicken and farofa, among others. Dessert is included and drinks are not.
Complete the second leg of the tour in downtown Rio, with a panoramic view of the Municipal Theatre, National Library, Cinelândia, Arcos da Lapa and a visit to the São Sebastião Metropolitan Cathedral.
