Discover the wealth of natural beauty and historical significance during this visit to the Normandy Landing Beaches. This is a journey along the stunning French coastland, and into the poignant past of the region.

A tour of particular significance for war veterans, their families and those interested in the period of World War II, it is also an opportunity for others to visit the Normandy region with its beautiful landscapes.

Cross the western districts of Paris to the Porte d'Auteuil and then journey as far as Caen to visit the Caen memorial museum, otherwise known as the Peace Museum. Undertake a commented visit and film to understand the significance of the Normandy Landing in the progress of the War. Enjoy time for lunch then depart for the landing beaches. En route stop at both the Pointe du Hoc, well-known for the assault of the heroic US Rangers, and the American cemetery Saint-Laurent at Omaha Beach, one of the 5 where the Normandy landings actually took place.

Continue with a visit to German artillery battery and make a stop at the ruins of Arromanches, the artificial harbour built by the Allies in less than 15 days. Continue on to the Canadian memorial of Juno Beach, one of the other beaches where the assault took place, and the location of the remains of the Atlantic Wall.

Start or opening time: Available from Apr 1 to Oct 31: Mondays, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. From Nov 1 to Mar 31: Wednesday and Saturday. The departure time of the tour is at 7am.
End or closing time : At 9.30pm. The tour is not available from January 1 to January 24.
