Caravaggio’s ‘Boy with a Basket of Fruit’ is on show along with Titian’s ‘Sacred and Profane Love’. Works by Canova and Rafael are also prominent features in the magical setting of the Borghese Gallery.
Your English-speaking guide ushers you past the queues and into a myriad of artworks, fountains and monuments designed by the famed Italians. This tour is followed by entry to the Borghese Villa Gardens, home to the rich and diverse flora that proves a pleasure to all of the senses. The gardens contain numerous buildings and villas to admire, and the gardens themselves are so picturesque that they have featured in many artists’ paintings. The Tour ends with a breathtaking view from atop the Pincio terrace.
