Are you ready for a unique experience? We invite you on the roofs of Romania! This one day journey will lead you from Transylvania to Wallachia, driving on the Transfagarasan: the highest altitude pass road in our country. You will enjoy sensations and spectacular landscapes, samples of wild and untouched nature.
In the morning, after meeting eachother in front of your hotel, we leave Sibiu through Transfagarasan Road. The first stop is at the glacial Balea Lake (2034m) where we will enjoy the majestic wild landscape and amazing, untouched scenery of the area.
After a walk in this area, accompagned by the guide, you will have some free time to enjoy the lanscapes, but also to serve lunch ( not included in the price ) in this area. This is also a good stop for souvenirs shopping if you so desire.
From here we take the road to Wallachia, driving until we reach the Vidraru dam lake, situated in the shadow of the Fagaras Mountains, the highest mountains in Romania.
After spending some time here, we drive towards the famous orthodox monastery of Curtea de Arges wich we will visit. This place impresses by its architectural style, serving also as a necropolis for the romanian royal family.
On our way back to Sibiu, we will visit also the Cozia Monastery, a XIVth century monument, one of the most significant in romanian history.
