Six Banyan Tree Temple - It has an outstanding history which spans across 1,400 years. It is one of the "Top Four Buddhist Temples" in Guangzhou, alongside Haitong Temple, Guangxiao Temple, and Hualin Temple. It was built in 537 AD in the 3rd year of King Datong of Liang Kingdom in Southern Dynasty. The Chen Clan Academy, which was completed in the 20th year of the reign of Emperor Guangxu (1894) after seven years of construction, was actually a massive ancestral hall taking the name of "academy" to circumscribe the Qing government's restriction of construction of sizable halls.
Nanyue King Museum- the oldest and largest Han tomb with the most funerary objects in Lingnan Area. As one of the 80 famous museums in the world, the museum covers 14,000m² with 10 exhibition halls. Yuexiu Park- In this park, we can not only see the symbol of Guangzhou-the Five Goats Status, but also visit the Zhenhai Tower which was built in the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644).This magnificent building commands a bird's-eye view of the whole city, and now houses Guangzhou City Museum.
Qingping Market came into existence in 1979. It has over 2000 stall along 1-km-long Qingping Lu and Ti Yun Lu in the north of Shamian Island. It is the largest street market in Guangzhou. Over 60, 000 people shop there every day. Huacheng Square, the largest public square in Guangzhou, covers a total area of 560,000 square meters and is regarded as "the new living room of the city". Home to a man-made lake, a large fountain and a light square, Huacheng Square is equipped with a cold-fog cooling system and planted with some 600 trees.
