If you want to see where the heart of Hamburg beats, you have to take to the water. That's why this tour is an integral component to a sightseeing tour. Three tours which you can enjoy on three dates you select yourself! Allow yourself to be whisked off into the secrets of the maritime world by a humorous 'harbour expert' on board the barge, and enjoy the sight of the magnificent villas and Hanseatic way of life during your Alster tour. The Discover Tour also includes a visit to a traditional tea shop in the Krameramt area. There you'll enjoy a hot cup of tea from overseas.




Meeting/pick-up point: Sightseeing by bus: Central Station/Kirchenallee & St. Pauli Landungsbrücken 1-2 (harbour) or you can start at one of the other 27 bus stops on Line A. Please look out for the red double decker sign.
Harbour cruises: St. Pauli Landungsbrücken 1-2, 4 (harbour).
Alster cruises: Pier Jungfernstieg (Alster lake).


Duration: Bus Tour: Approx. 90 minutes.
Harbour Cruise: Approx. 1 hour.
Alster Cruise: Approx. 1 hour.


Opening days/period: Bus Tour: From 10 to 4pm from Monday to Thursday and from 9.30am to 4pm on Fridays, weekends and bank holidays .
Harbour Cruise: From 11am to 4pm from Monday to Friday and from 10.30am to 5pm on weekends.
Alster Cruise: From 10.30am to 6pm from November to December and from 10.30am to 3pm from January to March

Frequency: Bus Tour: Every hour from Monday to Thursday and every 30 minutes on Fridays, weekends and bank holidays.
Harbour Cruise: Every hour from Monday to Friday and every 45 minutes on weekends.
Alster Cruise: At 10.30am, 12pm, 1.30pm, 3pm, 4pm, 4.30pm, 5.30pm and 6pm from November to December and at 10.30am, 12pm, 1.30pm and 3pm from January to March.


Languages: English and German.

Voucher validity: Bus Tour: 1 day.
Other tickets: 3 days (each tour can be done only once).

Possible Amendments: During Christmas and other events, there will likely be disruption to the usual service.

Includes: Free bus ticket for children under 14.

Others: Kids tickets for the harbour cruise and Alster round trip have to be bought there and then.
