Enter another realm and step into the shoes of the Habsburgs. Tour the oldest zoo in the world and have a sumptuous dinner in the heart of the Schoenbrunn gardens. Then top the evening off listening to the renowned melodies of the Schoenbrunn Palace Orchestra, playing in the beautifully ornate Orangery close to the Palace.


Your Habsburg experience starts with a tour of Vienna Zoo. Say hello to the resident pandas, koalas, elephants, polar bears and giraffes who are all eagerly awaiting your visit. All the animals live in the midst of the masterfully kept palace gardens, perfect for enjoying an evening stroll. In the heart of the gardens there is the “Tiroler Hof” restaurant, where you’ll dine as the Emperors and Empresses did with a delicious three course meal that will be prepared for you. Satisfy your appetite and feast on classic Austrian cuisine in beautiful surroundings before heading to your evening’s entertainment. After dinner, you´ll be transfered by taxi to the Orangery, where the orchestra and performers await. Enjoy a concert where the Habsburgs once held extravagant festivities and banquets in one of two of the largest Baroque orangeries in the world. Swoon to the melodies of the orchestra, and delight in the ballet dancing and singing as you marvel at the lavish surroundings in a royal tradition being kept alive.





Duration: 6 hours.

Start/opening time: Vienna Zoo opening hours: April to September: 9am to 6.30pm. October: 9am – 5.30pm. Dinner at restaurant "Tiroler Hof": Approx. 6.30pm. Taxi transfer from the restaurant to Schönbrunn Palace Orangery : 7.50pm. Admission into Schönbrunn Palace Orangery : 8pm. Concert starts: approx. 8.30pm.

End/closing time: Concert ends approx: 10.15pm.

Others: You can either pick up your documents from 9am onwards at the zoo's main ticket counter (Hietzing entrance) or you can have them mailed to you prior to your visit. On selected days, concerts may take place in the Great Gallery or the White Gold Room located inside Schoenbrunn Palace, at the Schoenbrunn Palace Theater or in other concert halls in Vienna. We will be happy to send you the detailed concert plan upon request. After the concert, taxis will be available right outside Schoenbrunn Palace Orangery. The subway runs until midnight in five to eight-minute intervals.
