The two-hour Snapshots Tour will whizz you around one of the most beautiful cities in the world, where soaring chrome skyscrapers, tiny cobbled alleys and verdant forest retreats await you. It’s easy to see why Vancouverites just can’t stay indoors, with so much to explore on their doorsteps.

Start with a photo opportunity at the totem poles in the city’s rainforest oasis, the lush and historic Stanley Park. This thousand-acre wonderland, bordered on three sides by the mighty Pacific, has been inhabited for at least 3,000 years by indigenous coastal peoples. Declared a city park in 1886 when Vancouver was incorporated, this densely wooded urban retreat contains thousands of species as well as many man-made attractions. Enjoy panoramic views of Downtown before heading to English Bay, top spot for sun seekers in the summer months. Venture through colourful and quirky Chinatown with its oriental teashops, acupuncturists and traditional restaurants, and then head to Gastown, historic heart of old Vancouver.

Next stop is the Olympic Cauldron, a tribute to the success of the 2010 Winter Olympics that symbolises Vancouver’s remarkable sports scene. Finally, potter around pretty Granville Island with its waterfront public market, unique shops, fine arts studios and mini-brewery. Meeting/pick-up point: Select hotels in the Downtown Vancouver area. Guests staying in the Richmond (Airport) area will be picked up at the Canada Line Downtown Station with the cost of the fare to be reimbursed.
