Complete your trip to the otherworldly island of Cozumel with this submarine visit to the extraordinary Chankanaab, one of the most beautiful reefs under the watery face of the planet. It is no surprise either that it is the island’s most famous underwater attraction; an environmentally protected marine park, it has become the home of an enormous variety of underwater life only known those who have dived in their lair. From the unparalleled vantage point of a submarine, feel like a character out of a Jules Verne novel and see the creatures that tint these waters with colourful life.

Let your exciting adventure begin by boarding the comfortable vessel then enjoy a brief leisurely cruise around Cozumel’s western coast before finally arriving to Chankanaab reef. There you are transferred onto the big ride, the submarine. Once aboard, you will have the opportunity to view the underwater paradise through large viewports in air conditioned comfort. Feel as if you are there, gliding among the reef’s twisted corners, but without getting wet and without the cumbersome diving gear you would first have had to learn to use.

This tour is not only one of aesthetic pleasure, you will also learn all there is to learn about the extraordinary marine life of the reed thanks to the narrations provided by the charismatic crew. The sights you will see from the submarine will glow in your memory for years to come.


Meeting/pick-up point: Chankanaab km4, south of central Cozumel.

Duration: Two hours (40-45 minutes underwater).

Start/opening time: Monday to Saturday 9am, 12pm, 1pm and 2pm.

Languages: Spanish, English, French, German and Polish.

Medical restrictions: Pregnant women until 7th month can participate. People confined on a wheelchair are not allowed.

Min. Age: 4 years old.

Min. Height: 90cm (3 feet).

Not included: Marine park fee, food, photos and souvenirs.

Others: We recommend to wear casual and comfortable clothes and to bring bathing suit, towel and extra clothes.
Explorers on this activity must be able to safely navigate backwards through steps ladder, hand rails available.
