Journey through time from the mysterious Anasazi who inhabited the Canyon 4,000 years ago to Major John Wesley Powell's challenges in conquering the unexplored Canyon with an immersive IMAX film experience. Grand Canyon: The Hidden Secrets is a 35-minute film that shows the exploration and history of the Grand Canyon at the Grand Canyon National Geographic Visitor Center.


Your larger-than-life Grand Canyon IMAX Experience brings reality to life on a screen over 6-stories high with 12,000-watts of digital surround sound. At the centre you can also purchase park passes, visit with a park ranger, get free maps, book sightseeing tours, shop for unique gifts and browse the exhibitions. Located 1.6km from the South Rim National Park Entrance it’s the ideal place to begin your Grand Canyon exploration.

Opening hours: March - October: 8am to 10pm. November - February: 9am to 8pm.
