Founded as the ‘New Carthage’ more than 2,200 years ago, Cartagena is a city steeped in history. Every nook and cranny has a story to tell. Each offers an intriguing angle, taking in the secrets, the hidden corners, the essentials and the ancient.

The Secretos de Cartagena tour is a varied package on land and sea. It covers such vital aspects of the city’s history as the Roman Theatre Museum, the area around the Roman Forum, the remains of the Roman-era House of Fortune and a cruise along the seafront and harbour – the reason why Cartagena has been so strategic since time immemorial – which will allow you to see a series of castles, forts and defensive batteries.

The Rincones de Cartagena tour includes the Punic Wall, which dates back to the Carthaginian period, the Panoramic Lift, which takes you up to Concepcion Castle from where you can enjoy stunning views of the city, the Roman Theatre Museum and the hop on-hop off tour bus.

The Cartagena Esencial tour covers the Panoramic Lift, Concepcion Castle, the Roman Forum district, the Roman Theatre Museum, the cruise and Fort Navidad, an imposing defensive structure that now houses a museum dedicated to military architecture.
