Il personaggio più famoso di Copenhagen vive in una roccia, ma non è sorprendente che il resto della città preferisca godere di un altro tipo di arte, come quella che si può trovare nell’Hard Rock Café di Copenhagen. Così, mentre la Sirenetta posa per innumerevoli foto, in questo luogo si può rendere omaggio alle grandi icone del rock danese e guardare la batteria di Lars Ulrich, batterista dei Metallica che la portò personalmente in questo luogo. Scoprirai anche i pantaloni che Mick Jagger acquistò in Carnaby Street e una busta per le vertigini in aereo firmata da lui. The Doors, Madonna, The Who ... troverete tutti!



Come tutte le grandi rivoluzioni, non si pensava che l’Hard Rock avrebbe avuto un grande successo. Era il 1971 e mentre i dolci anni ’60 avevano lasciato il posto ai nuovi ’70, le mode e i sapori stavano cambiando. Due affamati giovani americani si trovavano a Londra e non riuscivano a trovare un buon posto dove mangiare un buon hamburger... così, aprirono una società nelal capitale inglese. Il loro padrone di casa non pensava che gli affari sarebbero andati bene, quindi gli concesse un affitto di soli 6 mesi. Quattro decenni dopo, ci sono circa 200 Hard Rock Cafés in più di 50 paesi in tutto il mondo.



La prima maglia uscì per le strade nel ’74 e il primo cimelio arrivò nel ’79, quando Eric Clapton chiese di appoggiare la sua chitarra Fender sul suo sgabello preferito, in modo da segnarlo come posto privato. Al giorno d’oggi, la collezione rock’n’roll possiede più di 74.000 pezzi ed è la più grande nel suo genere. Dal 1982, l’Hard Rock Café si è espanso globalmente e il resto, come dicono, è storia (ancora da scrivere)!
