Tour Prague’s beautiful and historic old town by night as you discover its many treasures and the stunning castle district of Hradcany. Possibly the closest thing to a fairytale city that you will find on earth, Prague’s castles, spires and city lights will enchant any visitor to this vibrant and charismatic capital. Take in the Strahov Monastery, the Shrine of Loreto, St Vitus Cathedral, Karlova Street, Malostranské Square and much more as you are led through Prague after dark by an expert guide.



Start the tour at the foot of Strahov Monastery, dating back to the 12th century and wander through the picturesque streets to the shrine of the Loreto. The faithful copy of the original Italian pilgrimage site is still taken care of to this day by the neighbouring community of Capuchin Monks. Then you will reach the famous Castle district (Hradcany). Here your guide will bring centuries of history to life with detailed explanations of the fascinating stories of war and conflict involving the city. You will also be able to marvel at the spectacular architecture on display, the castle is said to be the biggest in the world.



St Vitus Cathedral is entirely housed within the castle and dominates the interior at night with its powerful lighting. The body of King Ferdinand I of Habsburg lies within its walls. Proceed to cross the bridge and wander along the cobbled streets of Karlova Street as you enter the heart of Prague’s Old Town. As you admire the architecture at Malostranské Square you will feel that you could easily have taken a step back in time. Here you will also find the church of Our Lady of Tyn, the resting place of Danish astronomer Tycho Brahe, the last ever major astronomer to work without the use of a telescope.
