Il programma nel dettaglio
Discover the delights of the northern coast of Taiwan with this stunning morning tour taking in three of the island’s top attractions: Keelung Harbour, Zhongzheng Park and Cape Yehliu. You will see a range of breathtaking scenes, whether they be the handiwork of man or Mother Nature.
Embraced by mountains to the east, west, and south, Keelung Harbour is at the head of a narrow waterway approximately 2,000 metres in length and 400 metres in width. Watch the vessels come and go in this busy port while enjoying a gentle stroll along the waterfront.
Head east to visit Zhongzheng Park, which is famed for its 25 metre-high white statue of the Goddess of Mercy, inside of which is a stairway leading to the top. The park overlooks Keelung City and the harbour. Admire a historic canon fort, see the Buddhist library, Martyrs' Shrine and Zhuputan Temple. And from the imposing Guanhai Pavilion you can see the Keelung in its entirety as well as the ocean beyind.
Cape Yehliu is a breathtaking 1,700-metre-long promontory formed by Datun Mountain reaching into the sea. Seen from above, it looks like a giant turtle submerging into the sea, hence it popularly known as Yeliou (turtle). Sea erosion has led to a series of unusually shaped rocks with colourful nicknames such as Queen's Head, Fairy's Shoe and Bean Curd. The cape is also home to Taiwan’s first marine world centre, where there are whale, dolphin and seal shows.
