Il programma nel dettaglio
See all that beautiful Vancouver has to offer with this three-hour walking tour of the city streets. Stroll past the glittering buildings of Vancouver’s waterfront, and watch the ferries, yachts and floatplanes come and go. Then saunter into the shade of Stanley Park, the city’s green lung.
Follow the sea wall at the water’s edge, with its stunning vistas of the harbour, the North Shore mountains and the Vancouver skyline, to atmospheric Stanley Park. This thousand-acre urban oasis, bordered on three sides by the mighty Pacific, has been inhabited for at least 3,000 years by indigenous coastal peoples. Declared a city park in 1886 when Vancouver was incorporated, its temperate rainforest ecology contains thousands of species as well as many man-made attractions. Visit the magical Lost Lagoon and the rose gardens, full of the sweet smell of flowers. Experience the local indigenous cultures at Klahowya Native Village where you can learn about the original inhabitants of Canada at the colourful interactive learning centre. There are traditional arts and crafts, native dance performances and the famous totem poles to admire.
Your tour finishes up outside the renowned Vancouver Aquarium, where you can photograph fish, ogle the otters and marvel at the magical marine life on display. It makes a great day out for kids. Your guide can also give you other suggestions for further exploration of the park. Or choose to return to your starting point.
