Il programma nel dettaglio
Comb the canals and streets of Copenhagen with this city bus tour and cruise of this waterfront metropolis that spans all styles from medieval to cutting-edge modern. See all the major sights and attractions and learn about the history of this beautiful and fascinating city.
Pass the New Carlsberg Glyptotek, the art museum founded by the Carlsberg family. It displays ancient and modern art in a building that is a work of art itself. Check out the magnificent red brick façade in a Venetian Renaissance style. Next make a wish at the Gefion Fountain. The Norse goddess Gefjun drives a plough led by four beasts that supposedly represent her sons. Legend has it that together they ploughed so deeply that they pulled what is now the island of Zealand into the sea.
Continue to the Old Fish Market where the wives of fishermen came to sell their fish until 1958. Today, just one remains in the form of a statue of a stocky, bundled-up ‘fishwife’. Bid her adieu to board a canal boat to bob along through the bustling harbour.
Admire the tremendous number and variety of church spires along the skyline. Glide past historic fortifications and palaces until you come upon a famous little mermaid perched on a rock near the water. The bronze and granite sculpture recently celebrated its 100th birthday. You will see that the mermaid is still looking good, just like Copenhagen.
