Il programma nel dettaglio
Dive, sail and snorkel the Great Barrier Reef on this day trip from Cairns that will give you the ultimate experience of the outer reef at Michaelmas Cay and the exclusive Paradise Reef. Sailing daily from Cairns let Passions of Paradise’s friendly, dedicated staff introduce you to another world teeming with exotic fish life, coral gardens, and spectacular views.
Specialising in introductory and certified diving, guests participate in an eco-friendly exploration of the world’s most amazing ecosystem. Certified divers navigate the best sites from the specially designed dive tender, while introductory divers and snorkelers see the reef in calm, shallow waters.
Special permits allow guests access to Michaelmas Cay, and exclusive access to Paradise Reef, away from the crowds. Michaelmas Cay is part of a National Park and a world-famous bird sanctuary with a beautiful sandy beach, providing a rare opportunity to snorkel and dive straight off the beach in the protected, calm waters. Sea turtles are common and you are also likely to see giant trevally, small black tip reef sharks, bat fish and hundreds of species of colourful reef fish. Paradise Reef is an exclusive mooring just for Passions so there are no crowds as you snorkel or dive on the outer Great Barrier Reef. It is a hard coral reef featuring a ribbon of small reefs. With depths of up to 25 metres along the edge, water clarity is good and the area is host to many exciting fish species including Wally, the resident Maori wrasse. Every afternoon, the bar opens, and guests can relax in comfort as the sails are raised for the cruise back to Cairns.
