Visit Santa Cruz de la Palma the beautiful capital of this island with a transfer service from the Hotel La Palma Princess. This is a comfortable and efficient way to explore the delights of this historic town, which was an important stop of the transatlantic shipping routes of the Spanish Empire.

You will be picked-up at 9am outside your hotel and transferred directly to Santa Cruz, arriving in under an hour. Enjoy free time in the capital to explore its many sights and attractions or browse the many shops. You’ll be collected from the bus stop outside the post office at 2pm and brought back to your accommodation.

The home town of world-famous shoe designer Manolo Blahnik is ideal for wandering around at a leisurely place. Stroll along the narrow cobbled alleys, admiring gorgeous old wooden balconies bedecked with plants and flowers. Happen upon a shaded plaza dominated by a colonial-style baroque church before suddenly arriving at boulevards lined with mansions. Both the Salazar Palace and Santa Catalina Castle are steeped in history. Near the port there are quaint fishermen’s cottages while at the harbour itself, there is a maritime museum and a life-sized replica of the Santa Maria, the flagship used by Christopher Columbus during his first voyage to the Americas. The streets are a kaleidoscope of colours with whitewashed walls contrasting with dark volcanic rock. There are plenty of cafés about and a number of shops selling local specialities such as honey-rum, coffee liqueur, banana liqueur, cigars and embroidery, while the honey and almonds are delicious.
