Escape the hustle and bustle of the city and fall in love with nature at the relaxing Perdana Botanical Gardens. The park offers something to every curious visitor, and gives calming respite from the bright lights of the city. This lush parkland is filled with stunning flora and wildlife against the backdrop of a glittering metropolis. You will have the chance to explore several of the park’s highlights.



Visit the Kuala Lumpur Bird Park, located by the Lake Gardens, which boasts the world’s largest free-flight walk-in aviary housing some 3,000 birds, representing more than 200 species. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to feed the birds and catch a bird show.



Continue to the nearby Orchid Garden, which showcases over 800 varieties of orchids, including exotic species, which thrive abundantly on one hectare of floral paradise. Take a leisurely stroll under shady pergolas and be dazzled by the beauty of these exquisite flowers.



As the tour continues over the verdant slopes of Lake Gardens, you will discover the Deer Park. Look out for the mouse deer or ‘kancil’, which is the world’s smallest hoofed animal and a beloved figure in local folklore due to its legendary wit.



Finish the tour in the breathtaking Butterfly Park, home to some 6,000 butterflies from more than 120 species. The park is an imitation of a butterfly’s natural habitat, with over 15,000 plants recreating a Malaysian rainforest atmosphere. You can also visit the adjacent insect museum, which has some interesting and unusual exhibits.
