Il programma nel dettaglio
Delve into the timeless wonders contained within the magnificent walls of the Uffizi Gallery, one of the most famous museums in the world. This museum is housed in the splendid building that used to be the Uffizi (Italian for “offices”) of the wealthy Medici Family.
As you step into the Gallery, enjoy the thrill that shoots up ones spine by penetrating the reverential quiet of a museum. Alongside your knowledgeable guide, who is well-versed in Italian art, you will be able to learn about the particular story behind each and every work of art contained in this splendid exhibition.
Among the many artists on display, see upfront the creations of such famous names as Cimabue, Giotto, Botticelli and even Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo, Raphael and Titian – the great Italian artists of the period covering the Middle Ages through to the glorious Renaissance. See with your own eyes paintings that you have seen reproduced a thousand times before in books, magazines and even TV. Learn about the lives of the artists, the stories behind the paintings and the techniques they used. In short, it won’t take you long to understand why Florence was the birthplace of the Renaissance.
This tour lets you personalize your museum experience; instead of rushing to end the tour in as little time as possible, you can remain in the museum as long as you like. You might need it; it isn’t easy to detach from perfection.
