Il programma nel dettaglio
Discover a city of fairytale beauty located a few hours’ drive away from Paris. The city of Bruges, in Belgium, often referred to as the Venice of the North for its cobbled walkways and romantic canals, is a gem of European architecture. This tour takes you on a pleasant drive through the North of France and across the Belgian border for you to marvel at the unparalleled charm of this city, the historical centre of which made the Unesco World Heritage list in 2000.
Throughout your day in Bruges, you are invited to enjoy a roundtrip on the marvellous city canals – the best vantage point from which to explore the city. Appreciate the ancient skyline of this seemingly medieval city characterized by three dominant spires that pierce the air: the heavenly Church of Our Lady, the colossal Belfry and St Salvator’s Cathedral.
The imposing Belfry has symbolised the historical moment of Bruges’ independence for centuries. Ascend to its uppermost level; the climb up its many stairs can seem daunting, but the view that awaits you at the top is breathtaking enough to make you forget about all worldly matters for a while.
The brick tower of the Church of Our Lady, on the other hand, is the highest of its kind in Europe and a prime example of Belgian craftsmanship. Last but not least, the spire of St Salvator’s Cathedral has recently been renovated, thus bestowing it with new grace.
