Highlights- Sample from a selection of craft beers and learn about their production along the way
- Listen up and get the lowdown on the locals with super stories about brewing, bottling and bootlegging
- Step inside 19th-century brewery buildings that were once part of the old-fashioned Brewers Row
This neighborhood was once home to 48 breweries, but this ancient trade pretty much vanished in to thin air from the borough in the 1970s and later made itself known once again quite recently with craft breweries leading the way. If you want a taste (quite literally...) of the history behind beer brewing in New York, look no further than this!
You shall even get to take a look about in one of the new craft breweries which has played a helping hand in bringing the industry back with a boom! On top of that, one of the craft beer bars used to be part of the once thriving Brewers Row. It’s safe to say you can tuck in to the culture and have a whale of a time at the same time. Your tour guide will be more than willing and able to share their top tips and let you know what’s what in the world of booze, you’ll be more than in the knowhow once you’ve knocked back a brew or two.
On this NYC beer tour, we'll take a behind-the-scenes local look at how beer is made at one of Brooklyn's present-day breweries. Check out the pre-prohibition era as we suss out 19th-century brewery buildings, visit landmarked sites and be told a fair few tales about the German settlers who lived and worked in the neighborhood. Whilst you’re making your way from bar to bar, you’ll be nibbling your way through the terrific tour as well. We’ll enjoy a number of great Brooklyn brews from all kinds of different spots, we even stop off at a local pizza joint for lunch. Join us as we raise a glass to the history and masters of beer in Brooklyn!
