Location

This family-friendly hotel lies on the coast in the north of Scotland some 28 km to the west of Thurso on the A836 and about 65 km to the north of Helmsdale on the A897. Crowning towering cliffs, this hotel affords fabulous views out over Melvich Bay, Hoy Island and the Orkney Islands. A selection of restaurants, bars/ pubs, a bus stop, the local train station and an array of shops are all to be found within 45 minutes' drive of the hotel. It is approximately 185 km to Inverness Airport.

Facilities

The hotel was built in 1845. Guests have a choice of 14 rooms. Multilingual staff at the reception desk in the lobby are happy to answer any questions. The hotel provides a baggage storage service, room service and a laundry service. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas (no extra charge). A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the car park. Guests can also use the bicycle storage facilities.
