Este hotel, inaugurado en 1960 y renovado en el año 2000, fue diseñado por el arquitecto Arne Jacobsen, conocido en todo el mundo, y tiene veinte plantas en las que se reparten un total de 260 habitaciones, 55 de las cuales son individuales, 182 dobles y 23 suites.
