The Hotel das Cataratas is a 5-star property ideally located within the Iguacu National Park. Situated just a short stroll from the sensational Igassu Falls and surrounded by jungle foliage and amazing wildlife, the hotel provides an exciting and unique base from which to enjoy all the delights of this natural paradise. The hotel resides in a Portuguese colonial residence and is the only hotel located within the national park. Further to its stunning location, the hotel provides a wealth of facilities and services to ensure a truly relaxing and unique experience for all its guests. These include beautiful outdoor areas with a large swimming pool and lush tropical gardens, a spa centre which offers a wide range of treatments and a tennis court. Active types can also enjoy the wide variety of leisure activities on offer from abseiling and water rafting to helicopter tours across the falls, guided tours through the park and rafting through some of the most beautiful and demanding rapids. Less adventurous types can also enjoy the hotel's spa facilities with its wide range of relaxation and exfoliation treatments. As well as fantastic recreational facilities the hotel provides two restaurants serving both local and international cuisine. The Ipe Grill is an ideal choice for a refreshing drink and bite to eat by the pool. The Itaipu restaurant which features local dishes and international favourites also boasts an outside veranda offering amazing views of the falls during the day. The 20sqm Superior guestrooms are located throughout the property and have been thoughtfully decorated in a Portuguese style with paintings of local flora and fauna and traditional painted tiles. Features include polished wooden floors, an LCD television with cable channels and complimentary wireless internet.
