The hotel is situated within metres of the nearest beach, at the centre of Havana. It is around 7 km to the Plaza de la Revolución whilst the old town and the congress centre are some 8 km from the hotel. All major tourist attractions are easily accessible. In recognition of its historic and patrimonial values, it was declared a National Monument of the Republic of Cuba in 1998. Everything here channels the glory days of the 1950s, from the Bar Hístórico to the vintage American cars parked outside in the long, sweeping driveway. Hotel Nacional has always been allied to the film industry and is the headquarters for the annual Festival of New Latinamerican Cinema of Havana.

Description

This hotel is located in the heart of Vedado, the most central area of Havana, on a hill a few meters from the sea. The hotel was built in 1930, they reached its heyday in the 50s, chandeliers, carved wooden ceiling and chesterfield sofas characteristic remember this time. The Nacional de Cuba hotel has an outdoor pool and beautiful gardens to relax with great views of the Malecon. It is home to the International Festival of New Latin American Cinema, held every year, they are also important music and dance performances taking place in the hotel, on the Parisien cabaret and the famous Tropicana bar.
