The hotel is located in the heart of the historic centre of Madrid, in the Golden Triangle of Art, with the main museums of Madrid, the Prado, Reina Sofía and Thyssen museums. In the surrounding area are the Congress of Deputies, the CaixaForum exhibition centre and the botanical gardens, and the hotel is very close to Atocha railway station. It takes 5 minutes to reach the Puerta del Sol and shopping area. The hotel is situated 15 minutes from Palacio de los Deportes. Access to public transport is within walking distance and Barajas International Airport is approximately 15 km away.

The hotel was built in 1904. The hotel has 116 non-smoking rooms, including 4 single rooms and 109 double rooms, which are located on 8 storeys and are reachable by lift.
