Description
General description
This hotel may be rather old fashioned and is strictly speaking not of a particularly high standard, but its stunning location and friendly Norwegian mountain atmosphere more than make up for it.
Location
This hotel enjoys one of the finest locations of any hotel in Norway, set as it is at the top of a narrow winding road looking down towards Stryn over Strynsvatn. A large waterfall rushes down a gully right by the hotel. It is breathtaking!
Rooms
The rooms are small, simple and a little old fashioned, but they are clean and comfortable and the views are so spectacular guests won't spend much time examining the furniture. The bathrooms, like the rooms are in fair condition.
Exterior
This low-rise hotel is rather drab to look at with a largely concrete facade.
Restaurant
The restaurant is huge. It is also simply furnished and enjoys fabulous views.
Lobby
The lobby is small and old fashioned with limited seating, but various old Norwegian artifacts on display throughout the public areas raise the tone and give the hotel a cosy welcoming atmosphere.
