Located by the sea on the north coast of the island of São Miguel, the Casa das Calhetas was built on the 18th Century (1723). The house in itself is decorated in simplicity, having maintained the characteristics of the wealthy rural houses typical of the Azores, with an English-style garden, with lake and cricket pitch.On the first floor, the noble part of the house, you may find 3 rooms (2 double and 1 single), the dining room, living room and library, 2 halls with stone crop floor, fireplace with tiles from the Lagoa and kitchen with direct access to the porches.
