Let us take you on a tour along the shores of the fjord Hvalfjörður and then to Borgarnes in Borgarfjörður area to introduce you to the settlement history of Iceland. Before the tunnel underneath the fjord was built, driving along its shores was the only way to get to Borgarnes. Our next stop is where we will visit one of the ongoing exhibitions.

Our lunch break will be in Fossatún, after which we head for more history in Reykholt and then to the geothermal area at Deildartunguhver. Here we say goodbye to our guide and head through the Hvalfjörður tunnel back to Reykjavik

Meeting/ Pick up point: Bus terminal at Laekjartorg, Hafnarstraeti 20, in Reykjavik centre. Customers must be at the meeting point 30 min before the departure of the tour.
Duration: eight hours.
Start or opening time: Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday June 10 to August 30 at 8am.
End or closing time: 4pm.
Languages: English (all departures) and German (only on Thursdays)
Others: If customers want to be picked up at the hotel (in Reykjavik only) they must call 24 hours before in order to reconfirm pick up time.
