Programa

Day 1:
Yogyakarta
Upon arrival at Yogyakarta International Airport, meet the tour guide and transfer to the hotel. Overnight.

Day 2:
Yogyakarta (Breakfast / Lunch)
In the morning we will start our full-day tour in Yogyakarta. Our first stop will be the Kraton - Sultan’s Palace. Then, we will see traditional Javanese crafts, silversmiths and batik making. Lunch will be provided at a local restaurant in town. In the afternoon, we will visit the magnificent 9th-century Hindu Temple of Prambanan and Ratu Boko, among green rice fields and beautiful countryside. The largest and tallest temple in this complex, known as Loro Jonggrang, covered with reliefs of the Ramayana legends, is considered the most elegant and beautiful temple in Java. It has eight shrines and the three main ones are dedicated to Shiva, Vishnu and Brahma. The main temple of Shiva rises to a height of 40m and houses the magnificent statue of Shiva's consort, Durga. The main temples are Brahma Temple in the north, Vishnu Temple in the south, and the biggest among the three which lies between Brahma and Vishnu temples is Shiva Temple (47m high). Overnight at the hotel.

Day 3:
Yogyakarta (Breakfast / Lunch)
At 8.00 am will start our full-day excursion to Borobudur Temple, about 40 km from Yogyakarta. The massive stone stupa of Borobudur is one the greatest of all ancient architectural monuments. Built with forced labour from the surrounding countryside between about AD 750 and 850, Borobudur predates Angkor Wat in Cambodia by three centuries. Its ensembles of stone relief panels are the virtual history of Mahayana Buddhist doctrine, as well as providing scholars with detailed information about life in 8th and 9th century Java. Buried under volcanic ash and tropical growth, it was only rediscovered in 1815. It has recently been fully restored by an international effort under the aegis of UNESCO. We will also visit Pawon Temple. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant. After the tour we will return to the hotel. Overnight. - [80 km / 6 hr]

According to your flight details, you will be assisted by our guide for check-out procedures and transfer to the airport, in order to take your flight to the next destination.
