Gray Whale Watching at Magdalena Bay

Informaciones generales

Destino
La Paz, Mexico

Detalles del programa

Magdalena Bay is one of the three lagoons to which the entire East Pacific Gray Whale population migrates each winter to mate and especially to give birth to their calves. In the protected waters of the bay quite close encounters with this impressive mammal may occur and you might even be lucky enough to find out why these animals are sometimes referred to as “friendly giants”.

After an early departure from La Paz you'll enjoy a typical ranchers' breakfast on the road before reaching after 3.5 hours driving time the Port of Lopez Mateos. Here you'll embark on a small boat for a 2 hour trip to observe close up the Gray Whales. Once back on land we'll take you to a local fisherman's house to enjoy a delicious seafood combination of lobster, shrimps and fish. After lunch you'll head back to La Paz.

Meeting/pick-up point: Pick up at the hotels in La Paz.

Others: Please bring sunscreen, hat, water sandals, fleece, wind- and waterproof jacket, binoculars, polarized sunglasses.
