Get your walking shoes(and a raincoat in case) and join us for a fantastic day out. Departing from Belfast we will stop at the famous Northern Ireland locations and hopefully give you a day to remember!
Dunluce Castle
Dunluce Castle balances on the edge of a rocky outcrop overlooking the North Channel.
The medieval castle is now in a totally ruined state but still has partial remains of its round corner towers and outer wall. Built sometime in the 1200's the castle had a turbulent history and lots of stories to tell.
From canons reclaimed from a Spanish Armada shipwreck to a lonely boy that survived when the kitchen collapsed into the sea.
Giants Causeway
The north Antrim coastline is renowned for its scenic beauty and the Giant's Causeway is its unique jewel in the crown, known to the Irish as the 8th Wonder of the World. A jagged promontory of neatly packed columns of hexagonal basalt rocks created some 6 million years ago by a flow of basaltic lava.
Or was it the Giant Finn MacCool who fell in love with a lady giant on the island of Staffa and built the Giant’s Causeway to bring her over to him without getting his feet wet.
However, the explanation, join us and you can make up your mind!
The Dark Hedges
Planted in 1775 by James Stuart to add an imposing approach to his house this avenue of Beech trees is truly a sight to behold. Rumour has it of a mysterious lady that glides through the trees. Some believe the ghost is to be that of a maid from a nearby house who died in mysterious circumstances hundreds of years ago. Others think she is a lost spirit from an abandoned graveyard, in the fields nearby.
