At 9h00/14h00 - Meet and greet at your hotel (Lisbon city center) or Meeting at Praça Marquês de Pombal in front of the "Padaria Portuguesa".



Your chauffer will take you for a sightseeing tour to Belém and give you general information.We head off to the Praça Marquês of Pombal and then stop at the Eduardo VII Park, a great lookout point of Lisbon. This is the largest park in the centre of Lisbon. It was baptized in 1903 in honor of Edward VII of England, who had visited Lisbon looking to reaffirm the alliance between the two countries. This park extends for about twenty-five acres. After a photostop, we then continue to Belem.



During the Discoveries, Lisbon was the heart of international trade, where they exchanged raw materials, spices and other products, taking the River Tejo as the main witness of these events. You will have the opportunity to relive this time and time visiting some of the most beautiful places of the city. The first stop will be at the Belém Tower, considered by UNESCO World Heritage in 1983. This famous fort dates back to the 16th century and had the purpose of being a departure point of the Portuguese caravels. Next to the Tower, lays the Padrão dos Descobrimentos, a monument in the shape of a caravel that marks the importance of this age. We will make a stop at the Mosteiro dos Jerónimos, built in 1502, this monumento is a wonderful example of the Portuguese Manueline style.



Enjoy some free time and go to the famous Belém Pastry shop a stop for a typical Pastel de Belém (not included).



We continue the tour crossing the Tagus River through the incredible PONTE 25 April (Bridge.) This bridge separates the banks of the vast river and we go to Almada, a site with a privileged view over Lisbon and with the imposing Statue of Christ the King (Cristo Rei.) The idea of the Christ the King Statue came about in 1934 during the visit of the Cardinal Patriarch, D. Manuel Gonçalves Cerejeira. During his visit to the city of Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, he saw the imposing image of the Christ Redeemer of the Corcovado and wanted to carry out the same construction in Lisbon.
