Eindhoven is known for being the birthplace of a global brand: Philips. The Philips Incandescent Lamp Factory was the first factory of the brand, opened in 1891 by Gerard Phillips, and has been the lifeline of the city. So much so that it is today a museum of art connected to artificial lighting, and of the tools used in the manufacture of lightbulbs. Standing in the me center of the city, we will surely have a view. Admire as well the modern architecture of the Admirant Shopping Eindhoven, once the old headquarters of Philips. The large modern glass structure is known as "the Blob".
