Start your "off-road experience" and visit the Tomato Industrial Museum, where you will learn about Santorini’s cherry tomato. Watch the relative video about the history of tomato production and take a guided tour of the old factory's machinery, before tasting the tomato paste.
Afterward, head to the remote beach in Vichada and take amazing pictures of the oddly colored volcanic beach, prominent for the overwhelming carved cliffs of volcanic pumice stone.
Discover the Medieval castle of Emporio, constructed in the mid-15th century by the Venetians to shield themselves from pirate invasions. Explore the interior of this well-maintained fortified settlement with interesting architecture, quaint ambiance and beautiful colors.
Later follow a small road towards the hilltop above the village of Emporio & see the 8 traditional windmills and an isolated white-washed chappel on the edge of the cliff. A stunning location with an open view, suitable for panoramic pictures and a wonderful sunset.
