Explore the Burgundy Wine region with your experienced driver-guide!
Enjoy a comprehensive day in Burgundy with your experienced driver-guide. Departure from your hotel in Dijon at 9:30 am. Start with a commented tour of the vineyards of the Cote de Nuits. Your first part of the tour will end with a winery visit and comparative wine tasting. You will then go to the Chateau du Clos de Vougeot, it was originally a wine farm, built in the 12th century by monks from the nearby Abbey of Citeaux. In the 16th century, a Renaissance style chateau was added to the existing buildings. Free time for lunch in Beaune or Nuits Saint Georges (no additional fees, individuals pay for their own meal). Discover the Hospices de Beaune. A hospital foundation from the Middle Ages, the Hospices de Beaune is one of France's most prestigious historic monuments. Its flamboyant Gothic architecture, its polychrome roofs and a renowned vineyard make this museum one of Burgundyes gems. The Hospices de Beaune is also famous for its 60 hectares wine estate, producing prestigious wines, sold at auction on the third Sunday in November. You will then go on another winery visit and comparative wine tasting in the Cote de Beaune. Return to your hotel/Dijon from 5pm.
