Evening Thai Boxing
Watch on in awe at the breathtaking speed, power and agility of Thailand’s finest fighters as they engage in the traditional combat of “Muay Thai” or Thai kickboxing. Known as “The art of eight limbs”, Muay Thai is one of the most demanding forms of combats in the world and is a stunning visual spectacle. Despite having gained further international popularity in recent years, it has long been a national obsession in Thailand and the fervent atmosphere inside the stadium is just as hypnotic as the movement of the fighters.
As Friday night approaches, the air around the Suwit Boxing Stadium turns electric as passionate locals and curious tourists drink in the pre-fight atmosphere and prepare for the evening’s event. You will have the best vantage point in the house as you take in 8 frenetic matches from the comfort of your ringside seat. Despite what you may be used to from televised wrestling, there is zero chorography involved in these fights and once the bell rings you will be unable to tear your eyes away from the action. Elbows, knees, feet and fists will fly as each competitor uses a combination of speed and strategy to outmaneuver their opponent and claim glory in front of the adoring crowd.
Muay Thai has gained popularity on a global level in the last decade but without a doubt its spiritual home and the only true place to experience it is back in Thailand. You will gain a fascinating insight into Thailand’s sporting culture at this adrenaline-fuelled event that grips the spectator and holds no punches.
