Alamo: The Price of Freedom is a 45-minute award-winning IMAX film that tells the story of the siege and fall of The Alamo. The film that is based the book by George McAlister was shot at the set of John Wayne’s movie set outside of Brackettville Texas, where you can learn the truth behind the legendary figures of Davy Crockett and Jim Bowie.



The IMAX Theatre Rivercenter also features rotating IMAX 3D adventure films with crystal clear 3D images projecting from an enormous screen and unparalleled sound quality. You can dive into the undersea world to see incredible creatures from the past and present; travel back 200 years on an expedition into uncharted territories; and experience the exciting science fiction worlds, boldly going where no one has gone before. The IMAX Theatre Rivercenter has two IMAX Theatre Auditoriums (2D & 3D) and is located down-town in the Rivercenter Mall, next to the Riverwalk and one block from The Alamo.
