The 1000s of people on Marco Island and Captiva beaches each day make finding good shells difficult. The barrier islands of the 10,000 Islands offer exceptional, pristine shelling opportunities, but they are only accessible by boat.
Come and experience shell collecting on remote barrier islands with a shelling guide who has decades of experience. While good shelling can be about being in the right place at the right time, knowing where and when is right, is extremely important. Good shell collectors do rely on luck. You will learn the nuances of tide, winds and locations that affect shelling, as well as, the information about the life cycle and habitat of different species. We will take you shelling in beautiful locations, but we also hope to improve you shelling knowledge. Your guide has this knowledge to share along with a knack for finding the Gulf Coast's most prized shell treasure, the Junonia.
