Day 1:
Mexico City
Arrival at Mexico City International Airport and transfer to hotel. Accommodation.
Day 2:
Mexico City
American breakfast in hotel and city tour that includes: Plaza de la Constitución (The Constitution Plaza) known as Zócalo, surrounded by beautiful baroque buildings, among which is the Cathedral (the country’s largest religious monument built over the great Aztec temple). The Palacio Nacional (National Palace), headquarter of the Presidency of Mexico, only visible externally. One of the main and most recently discovered attractions is the Templo Mayor, the great temple of the Aztec capital. Brief stop at the Guadalupe Shrine.
The tour continues to Teotihuacán, named by the Aztecs as “the place where the Gods are born”. This location includes three great constructions: The Pyramid of the Sun, Pyramid of the Moon and the Citadel; all of them were built over the so called “Calzada de los Muertos” (Road of the Dead). Lunch in restaurant. Return to Mexico City and accommodation.
Day 3:
Mexico City - Puebla - Oaxaca (474 km)
Departure by bus to the beautiful and colonial city of Puebla; visit of the Santo Domingo church, where it is possible to visit the Rosario Chapel, one of the biggest works of Mexican Baroque art. In the afternoon the tour proceeds to Oaxaca by bus. Arrival and accommodation in the hotel.
Day 4:
Oaxaca
Day dedicated to the city of Oaxaca and Monte Alban. In the morning visit of the famous archeological site of Monte Alban, ceremonial center built on a hill and rich in pyramids, tombs and sunken reliefs.
In the afternoon return to Oaxaca and visit of the city known as the “Patriots Cradle” that includes the Zocalo, where the Cathedral and the Santo Domingo Church are ubicated; then continue to the old Santa Catalina from Siena friary and to the local market, one of the most typical of the region. Return to hotel and accommodation.
Day 5:
Oaxaca
Archaeology, craftsmanship and nature. We begin our tour with a visit to the thousand-year-old Tule Tree, an enormous taxodiaceae that is around two thousand years old. We then continue to Hierve el Agua, an impressive petrified waterfall nestled in the mountains with the possibility of bathing in its mineral-rich waters, with the arid landscape of this mountainous area as a backdrop. During the tour we will stop at a Mezcal factory to learn about the production process of this traditional alcoholic drink representative of Oaxaca. Then we will continue to Mitla, where the most important religious center of the Zapotecs during the post-classic period is located; its buildings, richly decorated with geometric shapes, are a clear example of the splendor and development of this ancient civilization; today it also has a large artisan market. Lunch in a restaurant. We conclude our trip with a visit to a wool carpet weavers' workshop in Teotitlán del Valle, who will show us traditional weaving and wool dyeing techniques with natural dyes. Return to hotel and accommodation.
Day 6:
Oaxaca - Huatulco (275 kms)
In the morning transfer to the ADO bus station where you will take the bus to Huatulco (about 5 hours of travel). Once in Huatulco, transfer and accommodation in the hotel with All Inclusive. Free afternoon for relax or personal activities. Accommodation.
Day 7:
Huatulco
The perfect combination through the Santa Cruz, Órgano, Maguey, Cacaluta and Chachacual bays. Put on your swimsuit because we will swim on the Chachacual bay, beautiful and clear waters. We continue through the Maguey bay to enjoying the golden sand and emerald clear waters, between beautiful mountains. You will also have the option to try Oaxaca cuisine (not included) such as the grated cheese shrimp filled pineapple or fried fish with garlic. Return to the marine and transfer to the hotel. Accommodation.
Day 8:
Huatulco
Transfer to the Huatulco International Airport.
