Day 1:
YOGYAKARTA / JOMBANG / BROMO
Meeting at the hotel lobby at 5.30am and transfer to the train station. At 6.45am, depart to Jombang by Express Train. The journey will last around four hours. Upon arrival at Jombang at 10.30am, we will continue straight to Bromo. Lunch will be served en route. Overnight at Bromo. - [386 km / 8 hrs]
Day 2:
BROMO / IJEN (Breakfast / Lunch)
At 3.00am departure to Mt. Bromo by jeep and horseback riding, crossing the sea of sand and climbing up to see one of the most spectacular sunrise from the crest of the Bromo volcano. We will enjoy the summit of Mt. Bromo and admire the magnificent panorama over its caldera from the 2000m summit. After enjoying the sunrise, we will return to the hotel. Afterwards, we will carry on along the Java Ocean coastline through the picturesque fishing village of Pasir Putih before arriving at Ijen. Lunch will be served en route. Day 3:
IJEN / BALI
At 6.00 we'll head to the volcano Ijen. Wildlife, giant ferns and big trees cover the slope of the mountain. From the starting point, we will walk up the Ijen plateau through the hilly landscape until the crater edge, locate at 2883m above sea level. In case of clear weather, we may see the great sulphur lake. We will then return to the starting point. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant. Transfer to the harbour to board the ferry to Gilimanuk (Bali). We will cross the Bali strait which will take about one hour and a half. - [60 km / 2,5 hrs]
